The Boy from Masaka

A must read for everyone, “The Boy from Masaka” takes you on a journey of what life was for a little Ugandan boy growing up in the 1960s as the country gained independence, in a rural family that was barely educated. James interestingly narrates growing up in Mbirizi, joining primary school totally by mistake, and going on to experience a new and exciting life in one of the top Boys’ secondary schools in Uganda, before proceeding to the famous Makerere University at a time when the Dictator Idi Amin ruled over the country.

90 Days in Hell

The hitherto little known state of Rwanda shot into worldwide news in early 1994 when thousands of people were slaughtered following the death of the country's President in an airplane crash. 90 Days in Hell is the story, by a survivor, of what happened and lived to tell the story
